What Our Guests Have To Say...
Where do I start, everything was perfect. It was beautifully decorated and fitted with all the modern tech. Coffee machine, fresh milk, scone, large walk in shower and free standing bath. The bed was really comfortable and considering we were above a pub and on a main road we didn’t hear a thing which was very surprising.

Just back from a 2 night stay at The Peacock, what a brilliant place it is. Perfectly located within the town, ideal for getting out and about. The staff are all friendly, and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, felt very welcomed from the moment we got there to the moment we left. The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The food is also excellent, would highly recommend the Fish & Chips, along with the Rib-eye steak. Great menu to choose from, great value, and huge portion sizes. Perfect after a long days walk. Would definitely recommend this place, and will visit again soon. irelandg66
In Bakewell for the Christmas Market weekend. Stayed in the Peacock for 2 nights. Lovely warm cosy room with more than adequate amenities. We ate in the pub both evenings and had superb food. Ruth Costelloe
Seen a lot of negative reviews about the Peacock but still chose to stay there for the weekend, so glad that i did, everything about the place was great. The room was huge, well equipped and clean and the food was exceptional. After seeing a lot of negativity regard both the Landlord and his staff i was expecting the worse, but i got exactly the opposite, the landlord couldn't have been more helpful, the bar staff were pleasant and great to talk to, the waiting on staff were very pleasant in ensuring our food was correct and we were happy. Even got to speak to the chef on 2 occasions outside and even he was really cheerful. Overall both my wife and myself cannot wait to revisit this great place. Jem B
This Inn does not disappoint. It is reasonably priced, and beautiful! All of the staff was really nice and very accommodating. The Inn is comfortable and cozy, and rich with history. Jessica Dillard
